Game Capture & Trailers

Capturing screenshots and video of a game is pretty-much critical to any marketing efforts. I have taken on this task for many of the projects that I have worked on. The capturing process feels similar to photography/cinematography (in that it's all about composition, colors and content) but it has an added layer in that it requires game engine expertise. It is always a blast when I get the chance to bring these captures into a fully produced trailer.

I put this trailer together for the Zen Edition release of Absolute Drift.

Editing this trailer to some of my original music was a rewarding experience.

This game mockup was all done in Unity using Timeline and Cinamachine.

Capturing VFX in motion can be extremely tricky. The homing missiles in this shot were an interesting challenge.

Sometimes getting the right shot takes a lot of poising and positioning - but that always needs to be balanced with the need to accurately portray the game.

Sometimes a shot is just all about the mood of the moment.

I really wanted to show the moments of chaos that can happen in this game. The shot took a lot of work to get just right.
